RECALL: Gateway Notebook Computer Battery

Another notebook computer, up in flames.

Today the CPSC issued a Gateway notebook battery recall for Gateway Lithium Ion Battery Packs used in Gateway's 400VTX and 450ROG series notebooks. Visit the CPSC website (previous link) for detailed information and Gateway's recall web page to get your replacement battery.

In the mean time, if your batteries are included in the recall, remove your battery and use your power cord until your replacement battery arrives.

Doesn't all this lithium battery fire hazard just make you want to go green? (It was worth a shot.)
