Diaper Disaster
I have six kids. I've parented the infant/toddler phase five times successfully. You would think that by now I know just about all there is to know about raising kiddos in diapers since I've been changing diapers for twelve years straight.
So how come I can't figure out how to make my one-and-a-half-year-old daughter stay out of her poopy diapers?
Every stinky diaper without fail, she puts her hands in and starts finger painting. Poop on the high chair. Poop on the table. Poop in her hair. Poop on her bed and blankets. Poop on the floor.
AHHHHHHHH!
I'm getting so I have to plan 45 minutes out of my day just for her daily stinking art escapade.
I've tried everything from pinging her hands, to giving her soap to squish around in, to cold showers. NOTHING WORKS. Even the stink doesn't deter her.
Someone please tell me there's a solution other than duct taping her hands together and waiting for her to grow out of it.

Oh I remember this phase all too well. My now 7 year old daughter did this all the time...she even took hers off and smeared it everywhere. I thought I'de outsmart her by putting the diaper on backwards...she outsmarted me by reaching around to her backside to undo them! Now I get to look forward to this stage with my 3 month old! Weee!
