Voila! Concrete Walls

I checked with Jim and he couldn't remember how long the forms were up, either, but it must have been only a day because the date on these pictures that follow are the next day. We put an additive in the concrete to make it dry quicker.

This funny jut-out is where "basement stairs" will go
directly into the furnace room.
A great way to keep service repairmen from trouncing
through the house in muddy, deep-tread boots.


Our standard view from the trailer. These days, the wood pile and back of the house are overgrown with greenery.
Who'da thunk we'd need a weed whacker around here?
Yet as I came up the walkway yesterday
I suddenly realized we do, indeed, have grass.
Looooong grass that severely needs cutting,
only there's not enough of it to warrant using a mower.
I guess the raking helped.



Kinda looks like an itchy animal's balding coat, doesn't it? Only our lawn goes in reverse. It has the great fortune of filling in with time. Some of us should be so lucky.
