Winning the Lottery. Hmmmm...

Have you seen the new show Windfall--The Lottery? http://www.nbc.com/Windfall/money_tracker/ I caught glimpse of a commercial and thought to myself in an instant, "I know what I'd do with the money if we won the lottery. Finish building our house--or at least get it done enough to move in."

I probably won't watch the show because I have so many other things to do, and we're not real into playing the lottery or gambling. It sure got me thinking, though.

We do buy a few tickets once in a while, or I should say, Jim buys the tickets--when the Powerball pot gets large. Hey, I once won a necklace from Publisher's Clearing House and $50 off the one rip-off ticket I bought at Bingo when I was a kid. Anything's possible, so here's my top ten list of things I'd do if I won a large lottery:

1. Give God 10%

2. Get a vehicle that fits all eight of us (our largest right now is five)

3. Complete enough of the house to move in, or all of it if there were enough to go around.

4. Go out to dinner. (We don't get to do that often!)

5. Take a family vacation. (We've never taken one except for a weekend camping at the beach.)

6. Buy nice Christmas and birthday presents.

7. Get an iPod.

8. Buy a surround sound system with a large, flat-panel digital TV.

9. Get a few earrings and rings so I have more than a small handful to wear.

10. Get Jim some tools he's always wanted.
