My Strange Interests: Office Furniture/Supplies & Pens

I've fallen in love, I think, with a new website. Not only does it have office furniture, something I love to look at and buy (if I have money), but it also has the furniture and stuff you see in doctor offices, libraries, and schools. They have way cool kid carpets, sand/water tables, computer furniture, and coat racks. (Do you know how hard it is to keep shoes and coats for eight people in order, especially in a small trailer???)

I'm having a blast looking at everything on this site.

You're gonna think I'm weird, but I found a cafeteria table I suddenly think is a good idea for our family. Although we don't have room for one now, I can totally see it in our house once done. They seat at least 12 people and fold up when not in use. And they're designed for lots of wear. Sounds perfect to me considering our kids are helping this trailer's decay rate along nicely.

I know, I'm weird. Have I mentioned yet that I'm in love with office supplies, particularly pens?

I used to stare at a blank piece of paper with a strong urge to fill it with something creative--anything--and my favorite things in the whole world to use were my mom's felt-tipped pens. In fact, just the other night I finally returned to her a Papermate refillable pen I had claimed as a teenager. It had been my favorite pen. Her favorite too. When I handed it to her at Bible study, she took it back without offering to let me keep it. That was proof right there that she was still attached to it (and that I never had a right to it in the first place)--Hey, so long as involved parties are still alive, it's not to late to right a wrong.

If ever you want to send me something, now you know what: Send me pens! Strange ones, cool ones, different ink or multi colored ones. I once saw a syringe pen and to this day I still think it's the coolest one I've ever seen. I still wish I knew how it wrote, though.

I'd love to have a pen collection, but I'm not sure where I'd put them all if people did ever send me tons of pens. I think I'd have to take pictures to make a digital collection along with the ins and outs of how wonderfully (or not) each pen writes. That's always the real make or breaker of a good pen. Hey, them doctor office freebies with pharmaceutical names on them often write pretty well.

Trying out tons of pens sounds fun. I could stand in the local office supply store for a few hours writing on all their sample pads. Actually, I have.

Yeah, I know. I'm weird. I'm a writer. What do you expect? ;)

So, wanna send me a pen?
