Extraction Tomorrow
Starting tomorrow, I will no longer have six wisdom teeth in my head--only the normal four. (Well, only two I'll still be able to see since the other two will remain invisible within my gums.)
Yup. I'm having my bottom two wisdom teeth extracted tomorrow morning. They are half impacted and one has a cavity-induced crater. They don't hurt, so now is better than later to take care of them. I had never wanted to have them out--figured God put them there for a reason other than removing them all--but perhaps this is why they are called wisdom teeth: they usually cause problems which in handling brings wisdom. At least one hopes, anyway.
Today is prep day. I'm to take 400 mg of Ibuprofen three to four times, 500 mg of vitamin C three times, echinacea, and garlic tablets three times. According to my oral surgeon, Dr. Leonard Weldon, this combination gives my body a head start for when the extraction comes and will help me be more comfortable through the process. The Ibuprofen will already have my system in a calm state, the vitamin C and echinacea are for immune support, and the garlic is a natural antiviral and antibacterial agent.
Other than these things, and novocaine, that's all I'll be using. The way I figure it, I've been through childbirth six times. With my last birth, I got stuck dilated at eight out of ten centimeters for four and a half hours. I can make it through wisdom teeth extraction.
After tomorrow, I won't have to think about these bottom two decay creators any more. Relief.
