The Big Game
Tuesday our Braves went back to play Gill on their home field nestled in the top of lush green mountains (Not in the valley as I previously commented. I'm not graphically challenged--I just have a few spontaneous memory quirks.)

IJ is up to bat.

He watches the ball whiz by. Ball two. Can you find the blurred ball in the picture?

The pitcher ended up walking him. He's stealing second base here.
A team member smacked a good ground ball out past second base and IJ took off (red shirt on the left). He slowed at third before heading to home in the most controversial out of the game. He claims his foot was on the bag before the catcher tagged him. Other players on both teams also said he was safe, but no. The umpire ruled it out, and with the umpire having been declared baseball god by the league to which every team member and parent had to actually sign a paper to acknowledge or fornever play baseball, that's the way it stayed. Bummer.Major bummer, because the these top two teams of the league went into overtime before Gill finally won 4-3.
Waaaaaaa.
Ah well. I prayed. I asked God for a win and left the choice up to Him. He answered no. Or did He? Maybe that umpire just forgot to listen.
