Six Wisdom Teeth?
Gary made this comment on my last post: " More good news! You only have four wisdom teeth."
Alas, I wish this were so. It seems that when I asked God for wisdom so long ago, I forgot to specify. Here is a panoramic x-ray of my mouth. (I really like having a copy--proof I'm telling the truth!)
The bottom of my mouth is normal. One wisdom tooth per side. They are both half out of the gums. It's been a chore trying to keep food out from under the gum flap, and despite my best efforts at least one has some nicely developing decay. If I recall correctly, the other one does, too.The circles on my x-ray show my upper wisdom teeth. What you're looking at is one wisdom tooth on each side that are fully out and in line (well, mostly) with the rest of the teeth. Those slanted ones above them, however, are wisdom teeth number five and six growing sideways at the roots of the ones that are down. If I run my finger along the gum line up there, I can feel the bulge of the third set very high up at the roots. If they ever have to come out, some surgeon will have to dig for them. (UGH.)
So when I say I have six wisdom teeth, I really do mean six. Count yourselves fortunate, and thank you Gary for the wisdom teeth extraction encouragement. I may need it!

Wow, impressive. When God was handing out brains, I thought He said pains and asked for as few as possible!
Don't know how I got all that wit though.
Wow! I had 8 wisdom teeth, all impacted, that I had removed when I was in 8th grade. It's rare but you're not alone in this! Meggan!
Eight wisdom teeth, Meggan? And all impacted? Yikes. I thought six was bad. And at least four of mine are mostly out. I bet all that wisdom went straight from your teeth right into your character with that experience.
OUCH!!!
You are SMART!
Hh
This is the real deal many people grow more than one set of teeth keep on keepin' on

I found your blog because I'm trying to find out what the heck happened with my teeth - I had all four wisdom teeth taken out at 16.. Thought I was done, right? 9 years later, they've discovered that I have a 5th tooth - that didn't show up on the old xrays - and I won't find out if that's the only new addition till April 5th but I think it is. So here we go again!!!
