The Day's Workers
We are grateful to the men who came and helped us put up the trusses today because they each gave their time and effort free of charge. Yes, most of them are family, but these guys really deserve praise and public recognition, especially for showing up at 7:30 New Year's morning regardless of how they spent their previous evenings. Kudos, guys! The fellow on the right is my (Brandy Brow's) dad, Harry Slade, who's been in the roofing business for over 45 years. The fellow on the left is his second-born, Eric Slade, who followed his father's footsteps. He's had his own roofing business now for several years. It's his father-in-law who let us use the Square Shooter machine you see Eric in here.
The men you see here are Jim Brow (Brandy's husband) on the right with his good friend Chris Severance. Chris has experience in construction trades and Jim is Harry's main roofer. I may not have gone into roofing myself, but with my husband doing it I'm still very much in the family business. Chris and Jim have been friends since grade school. Now this is what friendship is about.
The oldest and youngest of the Slade family: Justin on the left and Travis on the right. Travis also has been in his own roofing business for several years. Justin decided to venture a different path than the rest of the Slade men and became an insurance agent. Our many thanks go to you five men for helping us. May God bless you abundantly for your generosity.
